I love to food blog, but it’s killing me! OK – maybe I am exaggerating, but I have a little problem. The more I blog, the more I cook, and the more I cook, the more I eat. Do you see a pattern here? This pattern that I have been in over the past year has caused the pants to get a little tighter and the waistline to get quite giggly. I am NOT saying that being my weight is wrong! I am NOT fat shaming – so before you start coming at me via DM’s – hear me out.
I am not personally happy with the 15 pounds I have added in the past year. I do not feel healthy at the weight I am currently at, and being comfortable with how you feel is the ONLY thing anyone should focus on.
Several years ago, I felt the same way I am now, so I made a few changes to my diet. The first thing I did was download the LifeSum app, and then I started balancing my plate. I reduced my carb intake, increased my protein, and became aware of what I was putting in my body. Now, I have a FOOD BLOG AND FOOD FEED that I LOVE, and I am not willing to give up for the 15-pound cause. So, now what? Well…
I am putting this out there to hold myself accountable. I will continue to bake and cook for everyone, but I am going to become the taste tester and not the whole freaking plate consumer! I have done three things so far to start this journey.
- I have downloaded the LifeSum app again.
- I have banked up a month of blog posts (so I am not making a big meal every night).
- I have told all 10,000 plus of you guys that I will get back to my happy weight.
So, here I go!
I am starting with a healthy breakfast!

Wish me luck!
