Since we are trying our best to stay at home, Raychel and I decided to make a new recipe for cookies. We used some Rolo’s we had leftover and supplemented them with some chocolate chips. It took two tries to get the recipe to turn out as I wanted it to. The main thing is that we had fun and ended up with a delicious cookie to show for our efforts.
Rolo and Chocolate Chip Cookies
Yield= 3 dozen
Ingredients:
- 2 sticks of butter (softened)
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 ¼ cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 rolls of Rolos (chopped up)
- ⅔ cup of chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, mix the butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Slowly add in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Use a spoon and fold in the Rolos and the chocolate chips. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Drop tablespoon-sized cookies on the sheet about 2 in. apart. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the sheet and cool on a wire rack. Serve with a cold glass of milk.
